Welcome!

Despite all those other joints beckoning from Cyberspace, you landed right here in ELWOOD’S WORLD, Elwood H. Smith's little cybernest. Whether by design or by accident, here you are and it’s a genuine pleasure to see you. Please feel at home. Stay a while. Wander around and enjoy yourself. There's beer in the refrigerator. Chips in the pantry. Take a few minutes to check out What's New, peruse the Portfolio, enjoy the Animations, then wander over to the Books page. Check out the Stufflinks page where you'll find Elwood mugs, aprons, greeting cards, iPad cases, T-shirts and lots more. Can't find these Elwoodian originals anywhere else and that's a fact.

If you came here looking for some High-Grade Humorous Illustration, you've come to the right place. Elwood is an award-winning, internationally known illustrator whose work has graced the pages and covers of TIME, Newsweek, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, American Heritage, Forbes and Fortune among other publications. It has been featured in advertising campaigns for SONY, Inglenook Wine, Land's End, The Wisconsin Humane Society, TGI Fridays and many others. Elwood has written children's books and two musicals for children with his late wife, creative partner & representative, Maggie Pickard. He has illustrated numerous children books for Viking, Puffin (Penguin), Klutz Press, McElderry Books and the Creative Company. Elwood was writer and artist for his latest two books, I'm Not a Pig in Underpants and How To Draw With Your Funny Bone, both published by the Creative Company. He has been the recipient of many awards and honors in the field of illustration, including a one-man show in 2011 at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA.

So, just wander around the pages here on Elwood's World and, if the charactors you encounter tickle your fancy and fit the bill, simply send an email to info@elwoodsmith.com and Elwood will get back to you posthaste. By the way, when a new job comes in, Elwood usually gets so excited that his head splits open like a ripe cantaloupe. The ideas & drawings spill out into the project like sour cream on a baked potato. Like Reddi-wip on a hot fudge sundae. So, go ahead send that e-mail. You won't be sorry. Life is going to get better for all of us if you do.
